1. Planning      2. Installation      3. Maintenance

1. Planning

We can assist you with planning a purchase of computers, software, or peripherals such as printers or scanners.  We will work with you to assist with selection of quality equipment which will meet your needs and be within your budget.

We can also assist with planning upgrades or replacement of aging equipment or in evaluating the option of upgrading vs. purchasing replacements.

Planning can also include often overlooked tasks such as documenting and diagramming your existing environment.  While these tasks may seem pointless in a smaller environment, having access to critical information about configurations and service providers can mean the difference between recovering from an incident or losing valuable time and data.

We will work with you to document and diagram your environment, suggest changes or improvements, and provide you with the means to recover from potentially damaging downtime.  This service may include items such as a network diagram and/or a disaster recovery binder containing the materials needed to recover or rebuild should your server fail.

Planning services are available on an hourly rate basis.  Contact us for more information.

2. Installation

We can install virtually any hardware or software that you require from a single computer install to a complete office computing environment.  Common installation services include:

  • Windows NT and 2000 servers
Installation of a server will allow you to share files from a central location which can be backed up regularly and quickly recovered in the event of a failure.

  • Email systems (Microsoft Exchange server)
Use of an email system will allow you to easily share a common address book and calendar, reducing effort needed to keep both up to date across multiple systems

  • Virtual Private Networking (VPN)
A VPN device allows secure remote access to your network over the Internet, clients simply connect to the Internet via a dialup connection or high speed connection (cable modem/DSL) and using the VPN client software can connect to computers on your company network

  • Personal Computers and business software packages, although we will install software only where proof of ownership is available.

Installation services are quoted on a per-job basis.  Contact us for an installation quote.

3. Maintenance

Maintenance is ongoing support for everyday computer problems.  We can assist you by resolving hardware failures, software questions, or general troubleshooting of your network, servers, printers, and PCs.

Optional monthly maintenance agreements allow you to budget your computer support costs based on projected needs and allow us to offer you a discounted rate for those hours.

We will work with you to determine how many hours of support you will require on average per month.  We will provide support services for these "base" hours each month at a discounted rate and will provide any additional "on call" hours as needed at the normal hourly rates as specified in the maintenance agreement.

The "base hours" each month may be used for general support or for additional maintenance related services if requested.  These maintenance services could include items such as:

  • Installation of service packs and updates for Windows operating systems and software applications

  • Cleaning of computer equipment to remove dust buildup

  • Examination of server system logs for any potential problems

  • Verification of system backup logs and tapes to ensure proper operation

Your maintenance agreement will normally include a 60 days notice termination clause should you wish to return to hourly billing.

Maintenance agreements are also available for "on site" staffing support for your base monthly hours.  We will provide all required staff member(s) on-site at your location(s) for the specified number of hours (for days and times as specified in your agreement).  An "on site" maintenance contract generally requires a contract commitment of 6 to 12 months, with a standard 60 days notice termination clause should you wish to end the contract early.

Maintenance is invoiced either weekly at an "on call" hourly rate or monthly through a negotiated maintenance contract.  Contracts are priced as a combination of a monthly fee for a specified number of "base hours" plus an hourly fee for all additional hours billed to the client per month.  Contact us for a maintenance agreement quote.
